Since we started services to Perth in August last year we have operated 138 services. Of these only 2 suffered accountable delays (only 1 to Skystar) with a resulting on time performance of 98.6%. … this result should promote Perth to Division 2 of the punctuality league... An excellent result for a new station and I would like to thank you all for your hard work and dedication over the last 8 months.

Once again Skystar have done an excellent job of service recovery. The above service arrived in Perth with over 100 bags missing due to a system breakdown in DXB... All Skystar staff on duty for the arrival, including extra who were drafted in, did an excellent job making the necessary arrangements to minimise the inconvenience caused.... all passengers had left the airport within 60 minutes of the aircraft’s arrival. The logistics of delivering the bags the following day, and subsequent days for some of the bags, was handled efficiently and quickly by Skystar staff. Passengers were kept well informed throughout the process.... Skystar thrive when there is a challenge…well done to all concerned.

The Emirates year runs 1st April-31st March and the punctuality stats for Perth are excellent. This great result is due to the dedication and hard work of all your staff involved in the handling of Emirates aircraft. Of the departures during the year 99.71% did not incur an accountable delay and all services (100%) were within 15 minutes accountable. Of the departures 92.37% departed on time or in most cases early with 94.82% departing within 15 minutes of schedule. A great effort… Well done to you…

It’s confirmed, Perth finished the 2003/04 year at the top of division 3 of the Emirates punctuality league. This is average on time performance based on accountable delays. This means that we are promoted to division 2 effective April 2004. To all of you, well done. This is an excellent effort, let’s keep it up and get into division 1 next year!!!

Following on from our success last year when Perth finished at the top of punctuality league division 3, we are currently joint leaders of division 2. This is after 5 months of the year…Keep this up and we will be promoted to division 1 next year. To all staff involved from Skystar, thank you for your great efforts and continued support.

1) The Ground Staff at Perth station were very friendly and helpful, when we came on board we found the newspapers were prepared at the door.
2) Blankets were distributed though all classes of the cabin.
3) They were very helpful to elderly passengers, carrying their bags to the aircraft and sometimes to their seats.

This sort of behaviour we don’t see from other stations, I would like to thank all Emirates and Ground Handling staff.

Recently I attended the ASM's Regional Meeting held in Singapore, during the meeting Perth Airport was presented with Two Awards. The first was a Performance Award recognising "Zero Aircraft Ground Damage" since operations commenced in Perth on the 2nd of August 2002. A great result highlighting that "safety" is at the forefront of your work practises.
And Secondly, Perth Station received recognition for our superior on time performance by obtaining a special punctuality Award. It gives me great pleasure in announcing that Perth Airport, and more specifically the Perth team and our Ground Handling Agents was the Number One station in the entire Emirates Network in "on time performance".

The on time performance results for the 2005/6 have now been collated and Perth was the most punctual station in the entire Emirates network during the year with 91.8% of our 365 flights departing on time or early. This is an excellent result. ... On behalf of Emirates well done, and thank you.
